Is more of a necklace girl. And what a necklace she has! And since Barcelona, she’s more partial to cupcakes 🙂
We’re still looking for the spoon… She’s sure she was born with a jewel encrusted spoon in her mouth, if only she could remember where she put it!
What more is there to say? Such presence, such wonderful acting abilities 🙂 Beary Star Awards here we come!
What would you do with US$25,000? Buy a new car? Pay off a chunk of your mortgage? Instead, how about some really fancy chocolate? Holding the Guinness World Record for the most expensive dessert, the Frrrozen Haute Chocolate comes in at USD$25,000 (approx. AUD$28,000).
The Frrrozen Haute Chocolote is served in a baccarat Harcourt crystal goblet with an 18 carat gold and white diamond bracelet attached to the neck. The goblet is further laced with 23 carat edible gold. The recipe includes Serendipity frozen hot chocolate mix that contains 14 of the world rarest and most expensive cocoas from Africa and South America, milk, ice cubes whipped cream and shavings from the world’s most expensive truffle, the La Madeline au Truffle ($2,500 a pound). Topping it with five grams of 24 carat edible gold, this opulent dessert is served with a $14,000 jewel encrusted spoon. For this bargain price, you get to take home the bracelet and the spoon but you have to give back the crystal goblet.
If the world’s most expensive dessert does not take your fancy, you could have the world’s most expensive ice cream sundae, the Golden Opulant Sundae, for a mere US$1000 or the world’s most expensive hot dog for US$69, all at Serendipity 3DC, 3150 M St NW, Washington DC.
I’m thinking we’ll try to hotdog when next in Washington DC 🙂 The most expensive hot dog in the world is made of beef and grilled in white truffle oil. The bun is salted pretzel bread that has been toasted in white truffle butter. The hot dog is topped with duck foie gras, caramelized Vidalia onions, heirloom tomato ketchup and Dijon mustard. Black truffles are included in both the foie gras and the Dijon mustard.
All the way from Hong Kong Disneyland… He’s not just a cute little bear but enterprising and determined as well! He came here all on his own to follow the bear of his dreams 🙂 And get to live a life he never even dreamed about!
He’s passed the interrogation by Feep and Purple Larry and Isabelle has named him Jay, to rhyme with her favourite word, play! And today he gets to play the Little Green Bear to Isabelle’s Buzz. I bet you’ve never seen a Buzz with pink shoes before.
It’s time to watch their favourite movie 🙂
Spellbound… Should keep them out of mischief for a little while…
Enjoying a leisurely lunch at the Harvest Seafood Restaurant, Boat Quay, and gazing over the river. The staff were beary friendly and we were beary generous with their tip. The waitresses thought we are cute, and they were right, of course!
Singapore tick, Europe next and Japan after that. The new Japanese outfits are seriously cute! Even if boys wear skirts… Tokyo Disneyland here we come! China has to wait until the Shanghai Disneyland opens in December 2015.
After a hot day exploring Little India and Arab Street, two thirsty little bears quenched their thirst with another Singapore Sling, this time at the Long Bar, Raffles Hotel, the home of the Singapore Sling. Ok, so this bar is a replica of the actual bar, but after a couple of these sweet and powerful concoctions, you really don’t care! And with the attractive pink colour, it’s become Honey’s favourite drink 🙂
Supposedly this is the original Raffles recipe:
30 ml Gin
15 ml Cherry Brandy
120 ml Pineapple Juice
15 ml Lime Juice
7.5 ml Cointreau
7.5 ml Dom Benedictine
10 ml Grenadine
A Dash of Angostura Bitters
Garnish with a slice of Pineapple and Cherry
We’ll definitely be trying this at home!
And after the drinks, it was time for a concert in the Gardens by the Bay and relaxing in the cool evening breeze.
Time to charter that 747 to take all the shopping home 🙂
